VerStandig Broadcasting, the valley’s largest radio group has an opening for a Sales Assistant to work with our four radio stations in the Hagerstown Maryland, Chambersburg Pennsylvania market. If you have exceptional office skills, are familiar with Microsoft Word, Excel programs and Power Point presentations, this may be the career move you have been looking for. You will assist our Account Executives in their marketing activities, help with radio station promotional events, and work with the Sales Manager in collections and preparing reports.
Qualifications: The ability to read, analyze and interpret business periodicals and professional journals; to generate reports, proposals and business correspondence; to effective and persuasively present information and respond to questions from managers, clients and general public; and to solve practical business problems.
NOTE: This position is a precursor to a Full-Time Sales position as determined by the General Manager and Sales Manager.

Job Summary: Call on area business leaders, uncover their needs, and persuade customers to utilize radio as a means to solve their business problems or take advantage of market opportunities. Prepare sales presentations, marketing plans and appropriate paperwork connected to sales, (sales contracts. Production orders, promotion sheets). Develop & maintain relationships with clients by providing top quality service. Investigate and resolve customer problems. Prompt collections, and attend sales and staff meetings.
Qualifications: The ability to read, analyze and interpret business periodicals and professional journals, to generate reports, proposals and business correspondence, to effectively and persuasively present information and respond to questions from managers, clients, and general public and to solve practical business problems. Candidate should have an outgoing personality, good organizational and time management skills, and be strongly self-motivated.
